I am an English-speaking psychologist specialising in contemporary psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Relational psychoanalysis is a robust, integrative theoretical framework which, when applied to a therapeutic process, consists of an intensive, verbal, and immersive relationship between therapist and patient that aims for symptom relief, emotional change, and personal integration. This process includes, but is not limited to, the appreciation of unconscious processes and conflicts; the significance of developmental factors; the recognition of intergenerational traumas and socio-cultural hauntings; and the impact of relational phenomena as they play out in the therapeutic space.
I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. Having had the privilege of working with people from diverse social-economic and historical backgrounds, I have a deep empathy for the struggles facing expats, and those with dislocation experiences and migration traumas.
